How you authenticate to Claude checking…

Two ways your Claude usage gets billed — and BE1st knows about both:

Path A · Anthropic API key (paste below) — works immediately for everything (terminal AND chat editor). Billed at standard API rates against your Anthropic account.
Path B · OAuth via Claude Max — log into Max once via the in-site terminal (type claude, follow the URL). Free for terminal use. After June 15, also drains your Max plan's $20-200/mo programmatic credit pool for chat-editor calls.
